Listen to the audio
She sees the clock tick,
But hears the eternity inside it.
She stops the selfies for Insta,
And tends her own alchemical fire.
A sky clearing blue splits overhead,
And she surrenders in a cloudless choice.
She sees a bird leave firm ground to fly,
And, without a thought, opens in a silent burst of colour.
In the great thrashing and meeting of things,
She hears herself say this is where I’m supposed to be.
She is sure and surefooted approaching distances
As long and open as all unfilled spaces inside her.
She is sublime... growing and unfolding...
Into this never seen but ever loved thing.
